Support Policy for Organic Product Production Activities

Decree 109/2018/ND-CP stipulating Organic Agriculture was promulgated by the Government of Vietnam on August 29, 2018.

Decree 109 stipulates that the subjects eligible for State support include: small enterprises, cooperatives, farms, households, and groups producing organic products. These subjects will enjoy the following specific policies:

- 100% support for the funding to identify areas and regions eligible for organic production;- One-time 100% support for the cost of issuing Certificates of compliance with TCVN for organic agriculture by Certification Bodies (initial issuance or re-issuance);- Support for organic production training and workshops;- Support for building and expanding organic production models according to TCVN.

The funding sources to implement these policies are mobilized from various sources such as:

- Support from the state budget;- Integration from Target Programs, National Target Programs, and other ongoing programs and projects;- Sponsorship from domestic and international organizations and individuals;- Other legally mobilized sources as prescribed by law.

Decree 109/2018/ND-CP officially took effect from October 15, 2018.
