Strict regulations on the control of hydrological data in Vietnam (Internet image)
According to Article 9 of the Regulations on Economic-Technical Norms for Hydrometeorological Data Work issued together with Circular 39/2013/TT-BTNMT, the regulations on the control of hydrological data in Vietnam are as follows:
* Paper Documents:
- Monthly Data Control:
- Control the physical condition of the data;
- Control the compliance process: Observation regime, method, measuring instruments, reporting policies;
- Control of original books: Fully recorded, clean, clear;
- Control reading verification on diagrams;
- Control recalculations if any;
- Check the rationality between stations on the same river basin;
- Compare with 1 (or 2) copies of the original records.
- Annual Data Control:
Annually, the regional hydrometeorological station organizes the editing of data for hydrological stations at the station, performing the following tasks:
- Control the entire original 12-month water level measurement data;
- Plot process lines of the elements;
- Compare and check the rationality between related stations;
- Control the original flow measurement book, depth measurement book, cross-sectional measurement book in accordance with regulations and assigned tasks;
- Control and determine the calculation method, annual application time for each calculation method for each type of station;
- Create data tables, process lines, formulas, and relationships between measured elements.
* Digital Documents:
- Enter data according to the editing program;
- Preliminary check of data content;
- Control data according to regulations;
- Prepare a record of edited data;- Prepare data for entry into the storage database;
- Create and submit digital data records.
