Standards for Lecturers in Doctoral Programs

Circular 08/2017/TT-BGDDT was issued on April 4, 2017. The Regulations on Admission and Training for Doctoral Degree Levels issued with this Circular have stipulated that lecturers teaching the doctoral degree training program must meet the following standards:

- Being a Vietnamese citizen or a foreign citizen meeting the regulations specified in Clause 1 Article 54 of the Law on Higher Education;- Having the title of professor, associate professor, or holding a Doctor of Science or Ph.D. degree with expertise appropriate for the subjects undertaken in the training program;- Have previously chaired or are currently chairing science and technology tasks at the institutional level or higher, or have participated or are currently participating in ministry-level science and technology tasks;- Being the principal author of at least 02 articles or scientific publications published in specialized scientific journals.

Lecturers perform their duties and rights as stipulated in Articles 55 and 58 of the Law on Higher Education and related regulations.
