Circular 05/2017/TT-BGDDT has been promulgated by the Ministry of Education and Training regarding the Regulations on Regular University Admissions; regular college admissions for teacher training disciplines.
According to Circular 05 and Circular 07/2017/TT-BGDDT, candidates who wish to enroll in colleges or universities in the field of teaching must meet the following conditions:
- Graduated from high school or graduated from intermediate level education;- Graduates of intermediate level education without a high school diploma must study and be recognized as having completed high school cultural subjects.- Be in good health for studying. For those with disabilities recognized by the provincial People's Committee as a result of chemical toxins and are offspring of war veterans: School principals will consider and decide on eligibility for admission to suitable fields of study based on their health condition.- Within the age limits specified for schools or majors that regulate age.- Meet preliminary requirements if applying for assessment (DKXT) or taking exams at schools that regulate preliminary screening.- Have permanent residence in the recruitment area, if applying for assessment or taking exams at schools that regulate recruitment areas.- Military personnel; officers, non-commissioned officers, and conscripts in the People's Police who are on duty are only eligible to apply to schools designated by the Ministry of National Defense or the Ministry of Public Security after obtaining permission from competent authorities; active-duty military personnel nearing the end of their service term, if permitted by their regimental commanders or higher, may apply according to personal aspirations, and if admitted, must enroll that same year and are not allowed to defer to the following academic year.
