The Law on Measurement 2011 of Vietnam was promulgated on November 11, 2011, covering measurement, rights and responsibilities of entities participating in measurement. So, what are the rights and responsibilities of pre-packaged goods producers and traders?
According to Article 39 of the Law on Measurement 2011 of Vietnam, every pre-packaged goods producer and trader shall be entitled to:
One, make quantity marks on category 1 pre-packaged goods labels publicly available;
Two, lodge complaints or file a case against administrative violations and decisions made by individuals or state competent authorities under regulations of laws.
In addition to the above-mentioned rights, every pre-packaged goods producer and trader shall have certain responsibilities, including:
One, provide reliable information on the quantity of pre-packaged goods;
Two, provide instructions on transport, storage and use of pre-packaged goods;
Three, ensure that the quantity of pre-packaged goods is conformable to technical measurement requirements;
Four, leave a quantity mark on category 2 pre-packaged goods labels in accordance with regulations of laws.
Five, undergo inspection conducted by the State competent authority.
