Requirements for Providing Information on Drafting Press Releases regarding Documents of the Government

According to the provisions of Article 2 Circular 12/2013/TT-BTP, the agency responsible for drafting is obligated to provide information to the Ministry of Justice about the legal normative documents of the Government of Vietnam, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam that it has drafted to serve the construction of the press release.

The content of the information must clearly state the title of the document, the date, month, and year of issuance; the issuing agency; the effective date; the necessity, purpose of issuance, and the main content of the legal normative document according to the template issued together with Circular 12.

Within 05 working days from the date the legal normative document of the Government of Vietnam, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam is signed and issued, the drafting agency is responsible for clearly sending information about the title of the document, the date, month, and year of issuance; the issuing agency; the effective date; the necessity, purpose of issuance, and the main content of the legal normative document according to the template issued together with this Circular to the Ministry of Justice in the form of an official dispatch and email.

Thereafter, based on the content of the information about the legal normative document provided by the drafting agency, the Ministry of Justice is responsible for compiling, editing the content, and constructing the press release.
