Regulations on Ranking Training Years and Academic Performance

1. After each semester, based on the accumulated knowledge and skills, students are classified by training year: first-year students, second-year students, third-year students.

Depending on the amount of knowledge and skills in each program, the principal specifies the limits of knowledge and skills for transitioning to the next training year.

2. Academic performance classification:

- Academic performance classification of students by semester is based on the cumulative GPA of that semester on a 4-point scale, specifically:

- Excellent: cumulative GPA from 3.60 to 4.00;- Good: cumulative GPA from 3.20 to 3.59;- Fair: cumulative GPA from 2.50 to 3.19;- Average: cumulative GPA from 2.00 to 2.49;- Poor: cumulative GPA below 2.00.

- Students with a GPA classified as good or better will be downgraded by one level if they fall into one or more of the following cases:

- Disciplined by the school from the level of warning or higher in the semester in which the academic performance classification is determined (excluding the disciplinary level specified in Clause 2, Article 16, Circular 09/2017/TT-BLDTBXH);- Have one or more subjects or modules in the semester that need to be retaken (excluding conditional subjects; subjects or modules that are temporarily postponed or exempted).

3. Academic results for the supplementary semester are combined with the academic results of the main semester immediately before the supplementary semester to classify the students' academic ability.
