Regulations 08 on sub-accounts level two of Account 136 - Internal receivables in Vietnam

Recently, the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam issued Circular 177/2015/TT-BTC to provide guidance on accounting policies applicable to Deposit Insurance of Vietnam.

Circular 177/2015/TT-BTC stipulates that Account 136 - Internal Receivables consists of 8 level 2 accounts. To be specific:

  1. Account 1361 - Operating funds at subordinate units: This account is only opened at the Head Office to reflect the existing operating funds at Branches assigned by the Head Office.
  2. Account 1362 - Receivables from subordinates regarding insurance premium: This account is only opened at the Head Office to reflect the insurance premium incurred during the period that needs to be collected from the branches.
  3. Account 1363 - Receivables from subordinates regarding asset liquidation of insurance participants: This account is only opened at the Head Office to reflect the asset liquidation proceeds of insurance participants arising during the period that need to be collected from the branches.
  4. Account 1364 - Receivables from superiors regarding insurance payment: This account is only opened at the Branches to reflect the receivables from the Head Office to pay insurance claims to depositors upon the decision of the Head Office based on the Branch's proposal.
  5. Account 1365 - Receivables from subordinates regarding unclaimed insurance payments: This account is only opened at the Head Office to reflect the unclaimed insurance payments arising during the period that need to be collected from the branches.
  6. Account 1366 - Receivables from subordinates regarding revenue exceeding expenditure discrepancies: This account is only opened at the Head Office to reflect the revenue exceeding expenditure discrepancies in insurance operations and management arising during the period that need to be collected from the branches.
  7. Account 1367 - Receivables from superiors regarding expenditure exceeding revenue discrepancies: This account is only opened at the Branches to reflect the expenditure exceeding revenue discrepancies in insurance operations and management arising during the period that are compensated by the Head Office.
  8. Account 1368 - Other internal receivables: Reflects other receivables between the Head Office and the branches, and among the branches themselves.
