Maximum Allowable Values for Pollutant Parameters in Emissions from Steel Production

Circular 78/2017/TT-BTNMT was promulgated by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on December 29, 2017, detailing the maximum permissible values for pollutant parameters in emissions from steel production industries.

Accordingly, Circular 78 stipulates that during normal operations, the maximum allowable value of pollutant parameters in industrial steel production emissions is calculated by the following formula:

Cmax = C × Kp × Kv

Where:

- Cmax is the maximum allowable value of parameters in industrial steel production emissions, measured in milligrams per normal cubic meter of exhaust gas (mg/Nm3);- C is the concentration value of parameters (mg/Nm3);- Kp is the emission source flow rate coefficient corresponding to the exhaust flow rate of each chimney of the steel production facility;- Kv is the regional coefficient corresponding to the location of the steel production facilities identified at the time of project investment.

See details at Circular 78/2017/TT-BTNMT, effective from July 1, 2019.
