Law on Standards and Technical Regulations 2006 of Vietnam: Prohibited acts

The Law on Standards and Technical Regulations 2006 of Vietnam provides for the formulation, announcement and application of standards; the formulation, promulgation and application of technical regulations; and the assessment of conformity with standards and technical regulations.

There are acts prohibited in this Law, specifically:

One, taking advantage of activities in the domain of standard and the domain of technical regulation to impede, trouble and hassle production, business and commercial activities of organizations and individuals.

Two, disseminating false information and advertisements and committing other deceitful acts in activities in the domain of standard and the domain of technical regulation.

Three, abusing activities in the domain of standard and the domain of technical regulation to infringe upon national interests, defense, security, social order and safety.

This is the content specified in Article 9 of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations 2006 of Vietnam issued on June 29, 2006, effective from January 01, 2007.
