Investment Projects for Building Residential Housing Eligible for Mortgage Loans at Credit Institutions

On December 09, 2015, the State Bank issued Circular 26/2015/TT-NHNN providing guidelines on the order and procedures for the mortgage and release of mortgage of assets which are housing construction investment projects and future-formed houses.

Investment projects for residential construction can be mortgaged to obtain loans as stipulated in Circular 26/2015/TT-NHNN and include the following types of housing construction investment projects as defined by the Housing Law:

- Investment projects for new construction or renovation of an independent residential building or a cluster of residential buildings.- Investment projects for residential areas with synchronized technical and social infrastructure in rural areas.- Investment projects for urban areas or mixed-use land projects that allocate land within the project for residential construction.- Investment projects for buildings with mixed purposes for residential and commercial use.
