Hanoi-Vietnam: Minimum performance of water heaters

On December 28, 2017, the Vietnam Ministry of Construction issued Circular 15/2017/TT-BXD specifying the minimum performance of water heaters.

The minimum performance of water heaters in Vietbnam regulated by Circular 15 is as follows:

NOTES: - The minimum performance of gas or oil-fired water heating units is given as thermal efficiency, which includes heat loss from the unit's compartments; - The minimum performance of electric-resistance water heating units is determined from the maximum standby loss (SL) when the temperature difference between the heated water and the surrounding environment is 40°C. In the above formula, V is the volume measured in liters; - Testing procedure to be conducted according to ANSI Z21.10.3 standards or other applicable standards for the project.
