Circular 57/2015/TT-BGTVT to announce the waters of the seaports under the jurisdiction of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and the management area of the Vung Tau Maritime Administration, issued by the Minister of Transport on October 19, 2015.

In Circular 57/2015/TT-BGTVT, the scope of the Vung Tau port maritime area is defined based on the highest tidal water level, specifically as follows:
1. Seaward boundary (South and Southwest of Ganh Rai Bay): limited by straight lines connecting the following points GR1, GR2, GR3, GR4, GR5, and GR6:
- GR1: 10°19’15” N, 107°04’55” E (Vung Tau Point);- GR2: 10°14’00” N, 107°07’56” E;- GR3: 10°11’00” N, 107°07’56” E;- GR4: 10°11’00” N, 107°00’00” E;- GR5: 10°24’00” N, 107°00’00” E;- GR6: 10°25’10” N, 106°58’12” E (Northeast edge of Can Gio Point).
2. Western boundary of Ganh Rai Bay: from point GR6 along the meridian line 106°58’12” E (boundary with Ho Chi Minh City's port maritime area), connecting to the southern edge of Phu Loi Islet.
3. Northern boundary of Ganh Rai Bay: from the intersection of the meridian line 106°58’12” E with the southern edge of Phu Loi Islet, along the eastern side of Phu Loi Islet northward to the farthest projection of the right bank of the Cai Mep River mouth.
4. Boundaries on Cai Mep River, Thi Vai River:
- From the farthest projections of the Cai Mep River mouth along both banks of Cai Mep River to the confluence of Cai Mep River - Go Gia River - Thi Vai River.- From the farthest projections of the Thi Vai River mouth (at the confluence of Thi Vai River - Go Gia River - Cai Mep River) along both banks of Thi Vai River to the latitude line 10°38’24” N.
5. Northeast boundary of Ganh Rai Bay: from the left bank of the Cai Mep River mouth along the Ganh Rai Bay's shore, passing by the southwest edge of Phu Lang Islet, via the Dong Canal, to Ong Ben Canal.
6. Boundaries on Ong Ben Canal, Rang River:
- From the farthest projections of the Ong Ben Canal mouth along both banks of Ong Ben Canal upstream to the meridian line 107°03’30” E across the river.- From the farthest projection of the left bank of the Ong Ben Canal mouth along the western edge of Long Son commune, to points GR7 and GR8:
- GR7: 10°26’08” N, 107°06’00” E;- GR8: 10°25’00” N, 107o07’00” E (South edge of Go Cong).
7. Boundaries on Dinh River, Rach Ba River:
- From point GR8 along the right bank of Dinh River past the Truong Sa Seafood Company’s wharf to the boundary line crossing Dinh River at latitude line 10°26’33” N. From the intersection of the boundary line crossing Dinh River at latitude 10°26’33” N with the left bank of Dinh River downstream to the farthest projection of the right bank of the Rach Ba River mouth.- From the farthest projections of the Rach Ba River mouth along both banks of Rach Ba River to the boundary line crossing the river 100 meters upstream from Vungtau Shipyard’s dock (the boundary between Vungtau Shipyard dock and the Southern Maritime Safety Corporation’s specialized port).- From the farthest projection of the left bank of the Rach Ba River mouth along the northern side of Ben Dinh Islet to Ganh Rai Point.- From Ganh Rai Point along the coastline to point GR1.
8. Con Dao area boundaries:
Seaward boundary: limited by straight lines connecting points BD1, BD2, BD3, and BD4:
- BD1: 08°39’47” N, 106°32’23” E (Northwest Point - Hon Ba);- BD2: 08°42’26” N, 106°32’08” E (Southwest Point - Hon Tre Lon);- BD3: 08°41’08” N, 106°33’13” E (Southwest Point - Hon Trac);- BD4: 08°41’01” N, 106°33’34” E.
Landward boundary: from point BD4 along the shore southward to the northeastern shore (Hon Ba) to point BD1.
