Establishment of Phong Thanh A Commune under Gia Rai District, Bac Lieu Province

Decree 166/2003/ND-CP by the Government of Vietnam stipulates the establishment of certain communes and wards in the districts of Bac Lieu province.

To be specific: establishing Phong Thanh A commune in Gia Rai District based on 3,800 hectares of natural area and 9,271 population from Phong Thanh commune.

- East borders with Phong Tan commune;- West borders with Phong Thanh Tay commune and Tan Phong commune;- South borders with Gia Rai and Ho Phong commune-level towns;- North borders with Phong Thanh commune.

After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Phong Thanh A commune, Phong Thanh commune remains with 4,124 hectares of natural area and 10,061 population.
