Establishment of Additional Ward, Commune-level Town under Phu Hoa District, Tuy Hoa City in Vietnam on December 26, 2007 (Illustrative image)

Decree 175/2007/ND-CP adjusts administrative boundaries of communes, wards and establishes wards, commune-level towns under Phu Hoa district, Tuy Hoa city in Vietnam as follows:

1. Establishment of Phu Hoa commune-level town under Phu Hoa district based on adjustment of 1,779.26 ha of natural area and 8,924 population of Hoa Dinh Dong commune.

- Phu Hoa commune-level town has 1,779.26 ha of natural area and 8,924 population.

- Administrative boundaries of Phu Hoa commune-level town: East borders Hoa Dinh Dong commune, Hoa Thang commune, Phu Hoa district; West borders Hoa Dinh Tay commune, Phu Hoa district; South borders Hoa Phong commune, Hoa Binh 2 commune, Tay Hoa district; North borders Hoa Dinh Dong commune, Phu Hoa district.

2. Establishment of Phu Thanh ward under Tuy Hoa city based on adjustment of 949.29 ha of natural area and 9,858 population of Phu Lam ward.

- Phu Thanh ward has 949.29 ha of natural area and 9,858 population.

- Administrative boundaries of Phu Thanh ward: East borders East Sea and Phu Dong ward; West borders Phu Lam ward; South borders Hoa Vinh commune, Hoa Hiep Bac commune, Dong Hoa district; North borders Phu Lam ward and Phu Dong ward.

3. Establishment of Phu Dong ward based on adjustment of 616.85 ha of natural area and 10,541 population of Phu Lam ward.

- Phu Dong ward has 616.85 ha of natural area and 10,541 population.

- Administrative boundaries of Phu Dong ward: East borders East Sea; West borders Phu Lam ward and Phu Thanh ward; South borders Phu Thanh ward; North borders Binh Ngoc commune, Ward 6, Tuy Hoa city.

Thus, after adjusting administrative boundaries as follows:

- Hoa Dinh Dong commune remains with 1,201.74 ha of natural area and 5,136 population.

- Phu Hoa district has 26,324 ha of natural area and 102,750 population, with 9 administrative units, including communes: Hoa An, Hoa Thang, Hoa Tri, Hoa Hoi, Hoa Quang Nam, Hoa Quang Bac, Hoa Dinh Tay, Hoa Dinh Dong and Phu Hoa commune-level town.

- Phu Lam ward remains with 492.86 ha of natural area and 10,632 population.

- Tuy Hoa city has 10,682 ha of natural area and 142,673 population, with 16 administrative units, including wards: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, Phu Lam, Phu Thanh, Phu Dong and communes: Binh Ngoc, Binh Kien, Hoa Kien, An Phu.
