This is an important provision in Circular 75/2020/TT-BQP of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam stipulating the application of disciplinary measures, procedures, statute of limitations, duration, and competence for disciplinary action against militia and self-defense forces, effective August 5, 2020.

In Article 14 of Circular 75/2020/TT-BQP on the application of disciplinary measures, procedures, time limits, and jurisdiction for handling discipline for militia and self-defense forces, the forms of disciplinary action for insulting or assaulting a superior or commander are specified as follows:
- Using words or actions to insult the dignity, honor, reputation, or body of a commander or superior shall be disciplined from reprimand, warning to demotion.
- Insulting or assaulting a commander or superior in one of the following cases shall be disciplined by dismissal or stripping the title of militia and self-defense forces:
Simultaneously, in Article 15 of Circular 75/2020/TT-BQP, the forms of disciplinary action for insulting or using corporal punishment against subordinates are regulated as follows:
- Using words or actions to insult the dignity, honor, or body of subordinates shall be disciplined from reprimand, warning, or demotion.
- Insulting or using corporal punishment against subordinates in one of the following cases shall be disciplined by dismissal or stripping the title of militia and self-defense forces:
In addition, Article 16 of Circular 75/2020/TT-BQP also stipulates the forms of disciplinary action for insulting or assaulting comrades, specifically as follows:
- Using words or actions to insult the dignity, honor, or body of others shall be disciplined by reprimand or warning.
- Insulting or assaulting in one of the following cases shall be disciplined by demotion, dismissal, or stripping the title of militia and self-defense forces:
