Circular 67/2019/TT-BTC has just been issued by the Ministry of Finance, stipulating the content and expenditure levels for conducting archaeological exploration and excavation, funded by the state budget.
According to the provisions of Article 4 of Circular 67/2019/TT-BTC, the Ministry of Finance stipulates the expenditure levels for conducting archaeological exploration and excavation work from the state budget, exemplified below are the expenditure levels for scientific documentation tasks:

- Expenditure for embossing patterns and inscriptions: Maximum not exceeding 100,000 VND per print (A4 size), maximum not exceeding 150,000 VND per print (A3 size), maximum not exceeding 250,000 VND per print (A2 size), maximum not exceeding 450,000 VND per print (A0 size).- Expenditure for photographing relics and artifacts: Maximum not exceeding 25,000 VND per photo (includes photography, editing, and the cost of making a 9x12 size photo).- Artifact registration form (describing features, age, origin, and characteristics of the artifact): Maximum not exceeding 30,000 VND per form.- Expenditure for surveying and drawing relics and artifacts (overall site layout, current state layout of the site, stratigraphic cross-sections, details of architectural traces, shapes, patterns of various types of artifacts, etc.): Expenditure based on contracted agreements grounded on labor days and compensation levels for officials as stipulated in Clause 1, Article 4 of Circular 67.
In addition to the expenditure content specified in Article 4 of Circular 67, during implementation, if any arises, the unit assigned with the task of leading the archaeological exploration and excavation shall cooperate with relevant agencies to determine the detailed content and expenditure levels for submission to competent authorities for approval.
