Content of Cultural Activities in Educational Institutions

Circular No. 26/2017/TT-BGDDT on the regulations on organizing cultural activities for students in educational institutions was issued on October 18, 2017. Notably, this document includes regulations on the content of cultural activities.

Specifically, according to the guidance in Circular 26/2017/TT-BGDDT, the contents of the cultural activities of students in educational institutions include:

1. Propagating the guidelines and policies of the Communist Party, the policies and laws of the State regarding culture; praising the achievements of the Vietnamese revolution; educating about the nation's fine traditions, cultural values, social moral standards, and human ethics; fostering a sense of responsibility and civic duty; national pride, patriotism, morality, and the cultural lifestyle of the Vietnamese people.

2. Praising the homeland and the country, the Vietnamese people; recognizing and honoring exemplary role models, and positive factors in the education sector.

3. Developing various forms of culture and the humanitarian values of Vietnamese culture.

4. Reflecting the sentiments, aspirations, and responsibilities of the youth toward themselves, their families, schools, homeland, and the country; Meeting healthy needs and preferences of students.

5. Criticizing deviant and negative expressions in human relationships, with the surrounding environment, and with the cultural heritage of Vietnam and humanity; Criticizing deviant behaviors, materialism, idleness, and indulgence; Preventing social evils, violent acts, and gender inequality violence in schools.

Circular 26/2017/TT-BGDDT takes effect from December 4, 2017.
