Classification of basic surface meteorological investigation data products in Vietnam (Illustrative Image)

According to the Regulation on economic-technical norms of meteorological and hydrological documentation issued together with Circular 39/2013/TT-BTNMT, the classifications of basic surface meteorological investigation data products in Vietnam (hereinafter referred to as surface meteorological data) are regulated as follows:

Types of original books:

- Basic meteorological observation book (SKT-1);

- Meteorological observation book (SKT-2);

- Soil temperature observation book (SKT-3);

- Evaporation observation book GGI-3000 (SKT-13a);

- Evaporation observation book CLASS-A (SKT-13b).

Types of diagrams:

- Thermograph diagram (GKT-21);

- Hygrograph diagram (GKT-22);

- Barograph diagram (GKT-23);

- Anemograph diagram (GKT-10);

- Pluviograph diagram (GKT-14);

- Sunshine recorder diagram (GKT-15).

Types of reports:

- Meteorological data table (BKT-1);

- Meteorological data table on temperature (BKT-2a);

- Meteorological data table on humidity (BKT-2a);

- Meteorological data table on air pressure (BKT-2b);

- Meteorological data table on soil temperature (BKT-3);

- Meteorological data table on wind (BKT-10);

- Meteorological data table on evaporation GGI-3000 (BKT-13a);

- Meteorological data table on evaporation CLASS-A (BKT-13b);

- Meteorological data table on precipitation by self-recording machine (BKT-14);

- Meteorological data table on sunshine duration (BKT-15).

Additionally, the classification of basic radiation investigation data products in Vietnam includes:

- Radiation observation books (SKT-12, SKT-11a, SKT-11b);

- Diagrams;

- Types of reports: Radiation report forms (BKT-12a, BKT-12b, BKT-12c); Radiation report forms by self-recording machine (BKT-11a); Reports on atmospheric transparency characteristics (BKT-11b); Reports on O2 radiation intensity and clear sky characteristics (BKT-11c).

For more details, refer to Circular 39/2013/TT-BTNMT, which comes into effect in Vietnam from December 15, 2013.
