Circular No. 24/2019/TT-BGDĐT: Teacher training plan at college and intermediate level in Vietnam

According to Article 7 of Circular No. 24/2019/TT-BGDĐT of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, the teacher training plan at college and intermediate level is detailed as follows:

- Teacher training institutions organize training by course, academic year and semester. An academic year has 2 main semesters, each main semester has at least 15 weeks of practical study plus a period of final exam. Moreover, during an academic year, the head of a teacher training institution may organize an extra semester so that learners can have the opportunity to re-study, make up or pass lessons. An extra semester has at least 4 weeks of practical study plus a final exam period. An extra semester has at least 4 weeks of practical study plus a final exam period.

- Based on the volume of knowledge, skills and requirements of the training program, the head of the teacher training institution shall allocate the number of subjects and modules for each academic year and semester.

- Before starting each course, academic year or semester, the teacher training institution must issue and publicize the training plan for that course, academic year or semester.

- The training plan for a course or academic year must show at least the following contents: Number of semesters, start and end time of each semester, academic year, course and the summer and New Year holidays for classes in the same enrollment period;

- The training plan for the semester must show at least the following contents: The start and end time of the semester, the study schedule, the time to organize the final exam, implementation locations and lecturers teaching theory and practice of each subject and module for each specific class.
