Circular No. 24/2019/TT-BGDĐT: Guidance on transfer to another teacher training program in Vietnam

- The head of the teacher training institution shall stipulate and decide for learners to transfer from the current teacher training program to another teacher training program with the same training level or lower level in the same teacher training institution, ensuring the following requirements:

+ Learners have an application to change the teacher training major;

+ The teacher training major that is expected to change to study must have the same enrollment form and admission criteria, the admission score must not be higher than that of the current teacher training major;

+ Learners who have been converted to another teacher training major must stop studying teacher training before converting;

+ The transformation of a teacher training major must be completed before the start of the second semester for a training program with a duration of between 1.5 (one and a half) years to 2 (two) academic years, before the start of the third semester of a training program with a duration of 3 (three) academic years;

+ Not in the period: Suspend the current teacher training program, adjust the learning progress, be disciplined by the school from a warning level or higher, be prosecuted for criminal liability.

- The maximum time to complete a teacher training program for learners transferred to a teacher training program is specified in Clause 2 Article 6 of the Regulation promulgated together with Circular No. 24/2019/TT-BGDĐT and is calculated from the time the learner starts the first teacher training program before transferring.
