Recently, the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam issued Circular 84/2020/TT-BQP stipulating the form, content, and duration of activities for reserve military personnel.
Circular 84: Regulations on activities for B-tier officials in Vietnam (Illustration)
Circular 84/2020/TT-BQP specifies the content of activities for B-tier officials as follows:
- The District Military Command is in charge of the activities, including:
- People's Army units assigned to receive reservists: After the District Military Command organizes activities as stipulated above, A-tier officials will lead the activities for B-tier officials in their unit, including:
- Payment of responsibility allowances for B-tier officials:
Note: In cases where staff of Block B are eligible for responsibility allowances but cannot collect them directly, they may authorize someone to collect on their behalf with legitimate reasons; the authorization letter must be certified by the Commune People's Committee or the District People's Committee (in areas without commune-level administrative units) where the B-tier officials member resides, or by the organization where they work, study, or labor; the authorization cannot exceed two consecutive instances.
Additionally, this Circular also specifies the time and composition of activities for B-tier officials as follows:
- Activity time: Once every quarter (in the last month of the quarter), the District Military Command will organize activities for B-tier officials, with an activity time not exceeding half a day.
- Participants in the activity for B-tier officials, include: Representatives of local government, local military authorities, A-tier officials; B-tier officials.
