Recently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Vietnam has issued Circular 17/2015/TT-BVHTTDL stipulating regulations on the prevention and control of doping in sports activities from March 01, 2016.

Circular 17/2015/TT-BVHTTDL stipulates the responsibilities of the Council for doping violation assessment for athletes.
- Based on the doping test results, the Director of the Doping and Sports Medicine Center decides to establish the Council for doping violation assessment.
- The Council for doping violation assessment consists of 05 to 07 members, including: the Council Chairman, the Council Vice Chairman, the Council Secretary, and the members. The Council members are medical experts, legal experts, representatives from the Vietnam Olympic Committee, the Vietnam Paralympic Association, and related national sports federations and associations.
- The Council for doping violation assessment operates according to democratic principles, voting by majority, and in accordance with the professional regulations of the World Anti-Doping Code.
- The Council for doping violation assessment terminates its operation and disbands by itself after completing its tasks.
Review and assess relevant evidence and information.
Within 03 working days from the conclusion of the meeting, the Council for doping violation assessment must submit the Doping Violation Assessment Dossier to the Doping and Sports Medicine Center or the Organizing Committee (in the case of doping detected during a tournament). The Doping Violation Assessment Dossier includes:
- Evidence of the violation;
- Related information (if any);
- The athlete's statement, the managing unit's statement, the national sports federation's statement managing the athlete (if any);
- Meeting minutes.
