Audit of the Maritime Administration Inspectors in Which Sector?

According to Clause 2, Article 5 of Circular 34/2013/TT-BGTVT, the Maritime Inspectorate inspects organizations and individuals regarding the compliance with maritime specialized laws, technical profession regulations, and industry management rules as stipulated by Vietnamese law and international maritime treaties to which Vietnam is a member, in the following areas:

- Ensuring maritime safety and preventing environmental pollution in the construction of seaports; managing and operating seaports;- Maritime safety, maritime security, maritime working conditions, and preventing environmental pollution of Vietnamese and foreign ships operating in Vietnam's seaport waters, inland waters, and territorial sea;- Managing and operating maritime channels and maritime assistance systems; maritime notifications;- Maritime safety and security information activities;- Maritime transport business activities and maritime services;- Oil spill response activities, managing the reception and treatment of oily liquid waste from ships at seaports;- Maritime pilot activities;- Training, instructing, testing, examining, and issuing professional certificates for seafarers and maritime pilots;- Ship registration and crew arrangement activities;- Maritime search and rescue activities;- Salvaging sunken assets at sea and in seaport waters.
