Approval of Documents and Data for the Task of Developing Comprehensive River Basin Planning

According to Circular 04/2020/TT-BTNMT, the documents and data serving the preparation of the task to establish a comprehensive interprovincial river basin planning include:

- National digital topographic maps with a minimum scale of 1:250,000.- List of river basins, map of river basin categories.- Natural geography, socio-economic conditions, including: geographical location, natural area; population, population growth rate, population distribution by administrative units, and the current development status of economic sectors exploiting and using major water resources; a general overview of land use and land use planning.- Data on rainfall, evaporation, temperature, water levels, and average monthly flow rates at meteorological, hydrological, and water resource stations related to the river basin planning.- Data on tides, average monthly sea levels at oceanographic stations related to the river basin planning (if any).- Scenarios for changes in precipitation, temperature according to climate change and sea-level rise scenarios for Vietnam that have been published.- Water resources, exploitation, and use of water resources in the river basin, including: the number of rivers, streams, main reservoirs, total surface water volume by month, season, year; characteristics of aquifers, total underground water reserves; the number of facilities exploiting and using water resources and the volume of extracted water.- Wastewater discharge into water sources, including: the number of facilities and total volume of wastewater discharged into water sources, main wastewater discharge areas.- Riverbank erosion and polluted, degraded water sources; land subsidence, saltwater intrusion in estuarine areas, and aquifers (if any).- National sector planning, regional planning, provincial planning, technical and specialized planning that exploit and use water, and other related documents.
