On January 17, 2019, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism issued Circular 01/2019/TT-BVHTTDL regulating the assessment of mass physical training and sports movements.
The assessment of the public physical education and sports movement must be based on the following principles:
- Complying with the provisions of current law; emphasizing the responsibility of self-assessment of the public physical education and sports movement of the People's Committees at all levels and the responsibility for aggregating and evaluating the public physical education and sports movement of the General Department of Physical Education and Sports.- Ensuring honesty, accuracy, objectivity, completeness, and comprehensiveness during the process of organization and implementation.- Ensuring the appropriateness of data synthesis methods for each evaluation criterion.
Additionally, Circular 01/2019/TT-BVHTTDL also provides the criteria for the number of people regularly practicing physical education and sports, specifically:
- Individuals who regularly practice physical education and sports are those who practice at least 3 times a week; each practice session lasting at least 30 minutes.- The criterion for the number of people regularly practicing physical education and sports is determined as a percentage (%) of the total number of people regularly practicing physical education and sports compared to the total population in the area.
