3 Cases of Reissuing Certificates for Professional Military Personnel

On July 01, 2016, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 59/2016/ND-CP regulating the professional military personnel, defense workers, and public employees.

Issuance for the first time is conducted for individuals who are selected or recruited as professional soldiers, defense workers, and public defense employees. Professional soldier identification, defense worker identification, and public defense employee identification will be reissued in the following cases:

- The identification expires as stipulated in Article 5 of Decree 59/2016/ND-CP or is damaged;- Change in the appointed position or usage;- Change of surname, middle name, given name; date of birth; place of permanent residence registration; or change of appearance due to injury, aesthetic surgery, or reshaping.

Note: In cases where the identification is lost, it will be reissued.

According to Decree 59/2016/ND-CP, each professional soldier, defense worker, and public defense employee is issued one identification with a unique identification number from data managed by the Ministry of National Defense.

Refer to the procedures for issuing identification at Decree 59/2016/ND-CP effective from July 1, 2016.
