2020: Determining the frequency of update of Vietnam’s national animal husbandry database

Specifically, the national animal husbandry database shall be updated on a monthly, quarterly and annually basis; the frequency of update is specified in Article 8 of Circular No. 20/2019/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam as follows:

- The contents prescribed in Article 3 and Point a Clause 3 Article 5 of this Circular shall be updated on a monthly basis, before the 30th of each month.

- The contents prescribed in Points a and b Clause 1; Point a Clause 2; Points a, b, c and d Clause 3; and Points a and c Clause 4 of Article 4; Clause 1 Article 5 and Article 6 of this Circular shall be updated on a quarterly basis, before the 30th of the last month of each quarter.

- The contents prescribed in Points c, d, dd, e, g and h Clause 1; Points b and c Clause 2; Points dd, e, g, h, i, k and l Clause 3; and Point b Clause 4 of Article 4; Clause 2 and Points b and c Clause 3 of Article 5 and Article 7 of this Circular shall be updated on an annual basis, before December 30 of each year.

Besides, Circular No. 20/2019/TT-BNNPTNT also stipulates that the bodies acting as the contact points for development and update of the national animal husbandry database at central and provincial levels have the right to use such database as authorized. The bodies and individuals holding the right to use the national animal husbandry database are specified in Articles 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 herein.
