According to the current laws, technical inspection of rural traffic road (GTNT) infrastructures involves visual examination or the use of specialized equipment to assess the actual condition of the infrastructure to detect signs of damage. This includes technical inspection of road sections, underground roads, ferries, and road tunnels.
Below are the details of the technical inspection of road sections as prescribed in Circular 32/2014/TT-BGTVT:
- Inspect the roadbed at locations susceptible to subsidence, landslides, or rolling rocks in areas where the road passes through cliffs, dangerous high slopes, and areas prone to flooding; check for stability and assess any damage (if any) to embankments and retaining walls;- Inspect the road surface by evaluating its flatness, cross slopes, and slippery conditions; assess any damage on the road surface and shoulders;- Inspect the drainage capacity and operational status of the drainage system (culverts, longitudinal drains, collection pits, inspection pits, and fishbone drains on the road shoulders and other features); assess any other damage (if any);- Inspect and assess the condition of road traffic signs and traffic safety structures.
