03 requirements for content of the exam questions of the teacher training institution at intermediate and college level in Vietnam

According to Circular No. 24/2019/TT-BGDĐT of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, content of the exam questions of the teacher training institution at intermediate and college level must ensure:

- Exam questions must be suitable to the subject and module content specified in the training program and suitable to the subjects and levels of learners;

- Developing and periodically supplementing and perfecting the bank of exam questions at the end of subjects and modules in the training program; exam questions must be randomly drawn from the exam bank of the teacher training institution and approved by the head of the teacher training institution before organizing the exam;

- Exam questions for people with disability certifications according to the provisions of the Law on Persons with Disabilities of Vietnam shall be decided by the head of the teacher training institution.

Concurrently, marking must also ensure:

- Each exam at the end of the subject or module must be marked by at least 02 lecturers, scored independently and must fully sign the test, the scorecard, and the overall score sheet of the candidate; in which, the essay writing test must be taped before marking, and the marking of oral and practical exams must be done on the test score sheet prescribed by the head of the teacher training institution;

- The score of the test is the average of the scores of the examiners; in case there is a difference between the scores of the lecturers who mark the test for an exam, it is necessary to organize a review or re-mark the exam and the agreement and final decision on the test scores shall be prescribed by the head of the teacher training institution;

- The test is graded through a machine, specialized software, and the re-examination is specified and organized by the head of the teacher training institution.

Note: In case the learner is not eligible to take the test, they must receive a score of 0 for that test.
