02 occupational accidents in the execution of construction works in Vietnam

Circular No. 04/2017/TT-BXD issued on March 30, 2017 by the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam specifies 02 occupational accidents in the execution of construction works.

According to Circular No. 04/2017/TT-BXD of the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam, the occupational accidents in the execution of construction works shall be classified as follows:

- The construction work accidents in the course of construction according to regulation;

- Collapse of machines, equipment and materials in the course of construction (hereinafter referred to as "accidents related to machines, equipment and materials").

Concurrently, Circular No. 04/2017/TT-BXD also stipulates that the reporting, investigation and response to occupational accidents in the execution of construction works shall be implemented:

- Under the Decree No. 46/2015/ND-CP of Vietnam’s Government for the construction work accidents in the course of construction;

- Under the provisions herein for the accidents related to machines, equipment and materials.

It should be noted that if the occupational accidents occurring in the course of construction are not resulting from the accidents stated above, the reporting and investigation shall be carried out in accordance with regulations of law on occupational safety and hygiene.
