To be specific, Based on the Official Dispatch 1366/BGDDT-NGCBQLGD, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City requests Principals and Heads of units to implement the following contents:
1. Work Policies
Based on the actual situation of teaching, education organization of the school, and specific activities of teachers, the principal discusses with the professional team/group to:
- Determine the number of actual teaching periods and calculate, convert the time for performing other professional tasks into teaching periods, thereby determining the total number of teaching periods for the teacher (including converted periods);
If the teacher is assigned to prepare plans, organize online teaching, or teach on television for multiple groups/classes and levels, then:
- The principal of the school, based on the specific conditions and nature of the work, calculates and converts the tasks into an appropriate number of teaching periods for that teacher; or
- Calculates and converts for all participants, ensuring the right person, the right job.
Note: Converting the number of teaching periods for teachers must have written approval from the Head of the Education and Training Department (for kindergarten, primary school, and secondary school levels) or the Director of the Education and Training Department (for high school level) according to regulations.
2. Summer Vacation Time
Due to the adjusted schedule of the academic year 2019-2020, the vacation time for teachers this year will be calculated as follows:
- Starting from after the actual end date of the academic year 2019-2020 to the opening day of the academic year 2020-2021.
- Based on the specific conditions of each school and the tasks of each teacher, the principal arranges reasonable summer vacation or annual leave for teachers, ensuring conformity.
